“EL DIA” – MONTEVIDEO URUGUAY – Augst 1951

Without a doubt the interest awaked by some of the exposed paintings, is shown and this is due to the exposed paintings, is shown and this is due to the knowledge of the relations between the colors and its use with pictorial sense, fraternized in large spaces. When we say large, we do not refer to large size paintings, but to great spaces of medium and reduced dimensions. The artist abuses of an almost desolation, and presents his paintings with empty aspects, … covers some more decided sides when the artist makes us feel the emotion, we remember of a picture of a beach… in some elements of nature accompanying by figures. Even in some studies of heads, he meets the necessary force to express the function of the color.

This study has its sources in the design and we have admired the works in rapid and vibrant crouis from the art of Del Sole. In these, he finds a form of expressing his contact with nature and directly covers in his lines a nervousness which agitates the pencil and the pen, to give us a simple vision and an effective plastic impression.
